Manarola is one of the five tiny towns in a section of the Italian Riviera known as Cinque Terre. This lovely village is huddled on and down the sides of a rocky outcrop, with the tall colourful houses leading down to a small harbour and piazza below.
It is one of the most historic sights in the Cinque Terre and sometimes reared to by locals as Castellazzo of Cerrico, which is the name of the hill where it is located
The beautiful and untouched landscape is the absolute protagonist in Valdorcia. This area of Tuscany boasts of endless rolling hills covered with grain or sunflowers. It is no wonder that this territory, which stretches along the provinces of Siena and Grosseto, is protected as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
During this workshop we will photograph some of Tuscany΄s most beautiful landscape scenery
Immersed in the beauty of the Crete Senesi landscape. Near Asciano, the most beautiful territory of central Tuscany
Sorano is characterized by a maze of pretty alleys, courts, ashlar portals, external staircases, loggias and cellars excavated into the tuff where, in the past, the locals made their grape harvests. The cellars in Sorano are particularly interesting and some of them have been carefully restored and made visitable.
The schedule we are going to follow
throughout our wonderful journey
The team will meet at Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport in Rome on Thursday , May 16, 2019 and we are going to depart at 11:30 am with a Van for the hotel at La Spezia in the southern part of the Liguria region of Northern Italy. If due to your flight you are not at the airport until 11:30 am you are kindly requested to notify me in advance.
In the afternoon we will take the train to the Manarola city to photograph the sunset and take evening photos at the” blue hour “with the city lights on.
We’ll get up early and catch a train to the colorful towns of the Cinque Terre. These charming fishing villages provide endless photography opportunities with the famous views of the cliff-clinging villages, the boat harbors, the crashing waves. After that we return to our hotel and depart for San Quirico d’Orcia(3hours drive) which will be our basis for the next few days. When we get there we will have some time to rest before we go out for the sunset.
Early wakening to shoot the sunrise at the famous Val d’Orcia.Hopefully the valley will be covered in mist.Afterwards, we will return to the hotel for breakfast. In order to shoot the sunset we will get to a secret spot and after the sunset we will take a ride to the ancient Roman village of Bagno Vignoni. Then we’ll return to the villa for dinner
We will meet the first rays of the morning sun in Val d’Orcia at a different location from the previous days. Afterwards,we will return to our villa for breakfast and get some rest .We’ll head out for our sunset shooting at one of the many beautiful locations nearby.
We will have breakfast and then we will visit the best of the best bright gems in the tuscanian area, Sorano and Pitigliano.Sorano is a picturesque hill village in the southern part of Tuscany. Pitigliano looks like a fairytale village full of, wild ridges and surrounded by lush valleys carved by the Lente and Meleta rivers. The soaring tuff walls, lined with myriad caves and tower houses, are nothing but the best of medieval architecture. The city’s layout, with houses built vertically on the tuff overhanging, might not need city walls, but you’ll be sure to find some spectacular military structures.
