Glaciers

Iceland is a glaciated country. Approximately 11% of Iceland’s total area of roughly 100.000 km2 is covered by glaciers. The largest ice caps in Iceland are located in the southern and central highlands.

[/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]

The waterfalls in Iceland are countless. Every year, new ones form from melting glaciers and almost every river has a few. They can be seen all over the country, many of them from the ring road.

[/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”48px”][vc_row_inner row_content_width=”grid”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″]
