The workshop's highlights

Get to know what a lifetime
experience feels like

In 1973 a United States Navy DC plane ran out of fuel and crashed on the black beach at Sólheimasandur, in the South Coast of Iceland. Fortunately, everyone in that plane survived. Later it turned out that the pilot had simply switched over to the wrong fuel tank. The remains are still on the sand very close to the sea.
the abandoned dc plane

The scenery of this white abandoned DC plane on the totally black sand is surreal and the landscape around is like from a science fiction movie.

Glaciers

Iceland is a glaciated country. Approximately 11% of Iceland’s total area of roughly 100.000 km2 is covered by glaciers. The largest ice caps in Iceland are located in the southern and central highlands.

Skógafoss waterfall has been my all time favourite waterfall in Iceland since I first visited it as a child with my parents. Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of 60 meters and a width of 25 meters, and you can walk right up to, but be prepared to be drenched. It is just overwhelming standing next to it.
waterfalls

The waterfalls in Iceland are countless. Every year, new ones form from melting glaciers and almost every river has a few. They can be seen all over the country, many of them from the ring road.

beaches

Some Icelandic beaches have black sand, many are naturally rocky, and if it's not warm enough for bathing, these beautiful beach locations still offer great photo opportunities.

Vestrahorn Iceland is one of the most photographed mountains on the island. Located on the Stokksnes peninsula, its steep slopes reaching a flat lagoon and small black dunes create a natural wonder and one of the most beautiful Icelandic landscapes.
mountains

Being a fairly new land mass and one built up by the spewing forth of lava from a huge fissure in the atlantic ocean floor,Iceland's topography is more a study in lateral spead than a height.

Brúarfoss ('Bridge Falls') is a relatively small waterfall compared to many of its Icelandic counterparts, but its diminutive size does nothing to take away from its staggering beauty. Both locals and seasoned travellers regard Brúarfoss as one of the country’s hidden gems, often labelling it 'Iceland’s Bluest Waterfall.'
rivers

Iceland is a country of water and has more water recourses than most other countries. Hundreds of rivers and thousands of creeks brooks and streams are a photographer paradise in everyway.
